- Capstone Project is a multifaceted activity that serves as a culminating academic and intellectual experience for Grade 12 students, typically happens at the end of an academic program or learning-pathway experience.
- Capstone
project is generally designed to encourage students to think critically, solve
challenging problems, and develop skills such as oral communication, public
speaking, research skills, media literacy, teamwork, planning,
self-sufficiency, or goal setting. These skills are going to help them to be prepared for
college, modern careers, and adult life.
- Capstone project also tends to
encourage students to connect their projects to community issues as a solution to the problems,
and to integrate outside-of-school learning experiences including activities
such as interviews, scientific observations, or internships.
