National Service Training Program 1

It is a program that aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth, by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing training in any of the three (3) program components 1) Reserved Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC), 2) Literacy Training Service (LTS), and 3) Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS).  In CIT University, students are engaged in various activities contributory to the general welfare and the betterment of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its facilities, especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social welfare services through the CWTS program.

 


NSTP 112 Civic Welfare Training Services (CWTS 2) ( OFFSEM 01-AP1)

This course is designed to immerse students in activities that will arm them with the capability to contribute in the upliftment of the general welfare of the community members. Specifically, it is intended to enhance the quality of life of its members in terms of health and wellness, psycho-social, education/literacy, socio-economic, and environmental development programs.


 


NSTP 111 Civic Welfare Training Services  (CWTS 1) (OFFSEM 01-AP1)

This course introduces the students to the world of basic civic welfare services, theories, and skills. It involves understanding of Republic Act Number 9163, otherwise known as the NSTP Act of 2001. which focuses on self awareness and values development, leadership, waste segregation, disaster preparedness, and safety and health.

This is a 9-hour course per week to be conducted for a straight 6-weeks Special Summer Term that will utilize the MADE4Learning Distance Approach mode. Students will be on a self-paced and self-directed learning mode asynchronously facilitated by the course instructor through the use of a course handout that is initially provided for the students on the first day.  

The course has a very basic objective, that is, that students' civic consciousness, as citizens of this country,  be enhanced, in line with the inculcation of ethics of service and loyalty to his/her country and its leaders. Youth's contribution to the general welfare of a country will be always be vital for its growth and thus cannot be underestimated.
